Client Reviews - Stephanie & David

the experience

I'm writing this review while I'm on the high of watching our elopement video for the very first time. It's difficult to put in to words what this video means to us and how it makes us feel. It's perfect, it's amazing, it's everything we wanted and more. The quality is absolutely beautiful. Watching the video took my husband and I back to that day. Ripple captured all the special moments, all the love, the happy tears, and the laughter. Not only is she an expert at her craft, but she's also so sweet and professional.

Client Reviews - E & D

Ripple was very professional, thorough, and responsive. She took COVID precautions very seriously and we appreciated that she did some site research beforehand. We liked her tips for different aspects of the wedding since we didn't know how things usually go. Ripple brought energy that made us feel comfortable while taking bright and colorful photos, which is exactly what we wanted. We couldn't be happier!

Client Reviews - Cathy & Garrett

Ripple responded immediately and we quickly scheduled a time to chat via FaceTime and hired her on the spot!

On the day of the ceremony, Ripple arrived even before we did! She was so professional and efficient and you could tell she is a pro! She was also kind, friendly, and proficient as well. She was great to work with and what she delivers at the end of the day is beautiful and priceless.

Client Reviews - Rebecca & Zack

My fiancé and I weren't sure what we were looking for in wedding photography, but Ripple created a vision that was everything we could've hoped for and more. She put us totally at ease, and made us look our absolute best. Her eye is incredible, and she was so easy to work with.

approach

I come on your wedding day as a friend.

I document your day truthfully as it unfolds—the big moments you planned and waited for, and the split seconds full of emotions that hit you by surprise. I’ll bring a calm presence to put you at ease. I want you to be yourselves, then I’ll put you in the best light so we can make some portraits (or moving portraits!) that look like they are from a magazine (or a Netflix movie!). Once you are laughing and crying with your loved ones, you may not even notice that I’m there.

Each photo tells a story, so I create images with care. I personally edit individual photos to make them look like how your day feels. There is no batch AI editing or third party outsourcing.

All the wedding films I create are drastically different from each other. Each short film reflects the unique energy and narrative of each couple’s celebration.

While working with digital formats, in post production I opt for a modern film look that’s not overly nostalgic for both photography and videography.

I adore all love stories. That means all skin tones, all body types, all ages, and LGBTQIA+ inclusive.

FAQs

  • Once I receive your inquiry, I’ll be in touch with more information and provide a custom quote tailored to your plan and budget. A free consultation call/video chat can be scheduled then. The call usually takes about 30mins. We can get to know each other a bit more, chat about your visions, and I can answer your questions. It will give you a better sense of what it’s like to work with me, and I can tweak the personalized photography/videography plan from there, if needed. Once you decide to move forward, I’ll send you a service agreement to review and sign. I take 50% of the total fee as a retainer to book the date.

  • It depends on the specifics of your event. Please get in touch to find out!

  • I edit and deliver all images that pass my professional standards, and there is not a max number where I cap off. The number of images produced is dependent on the hours of coverage, guest count, scale of the event as well as if there is a second photographer. In general, I prioritize quality over quantity, and you will receive all your photos in full-resolution. That being said, I usually deliver more than 60 images per hour of coverage.

  • There are four types of wedding films available, all in 4K.

    • SHORT FILM — a cinematic highlight film like the ones you see on my website (it comes with all videography collections).

    • CEREMONY FILM — full-length documentation of your ceremony in its entirety. It includes professional audio. $300 extra.

    • RECEPTION FILM — full-length documentation of the toasts, first dances, cake cutting and other structured programs at your reception. The film ends before the dance party, and also includes professional audio recording. $300 extra.

    • DOCUMENTARY FILM — a longer film in documentary style that tells a full story of your wedding day. The length of the film will be dependent on the the coverage you are booking. For a full-day coverage, it usually ends up being 45-60mins. Custom quoted.

  • For photography, your photos are delivered via an online gallery within 8 weeks after your wedding. Sneak peeks are delivered within 48hrs.

For videography, if you are only booking for a short film, the turnaround is up to 4 weeks. It will be up to 8 weeks if you are booking for more than one film.

  • Photography - I usually recommend adding a second photographer if the guest count exceeds 100.

Videography - a second videographer is required if you want a ceremony film, a reception film, or a documentary film (in addition to your short film). I also recommend adding a second person if your guest count exceeds 60.

If you are eloping or planning an intimate wedding with a private, casual vibe, I often suggest booking only one person for each service, so we don’t crowd the celebration with camera gear. But we also have to take location details and other elements into consideration. I can make a recommendation based on your wedding plan.

  • I offer two types of albums as well as prints in various sizes.

Please see my Albums & Prints Guide for detailed info and pricing.

  • I generally do not offer raw footage because they are huge files that need a suitable workstation to handle. The raw footage is not really usable without professional post production. If you are a professional or a serious hobbyist yourself, I can offer the raw footage as an add-on for $950 + tax.
